I have finally found the appropriate word to replace the PlaneShift (and MMORPGs in general) Guild structure. Koinon, meaning common, is interpreted as commonwealth, league, or federation. They were associated by a common craft, or a common goal. Koinon in Reign of Olympia will be a integral part of the game, vying for control of small towns and minor poleis, as well as taking control of the political and commercial climate of the game. I intend to push koinon fighting in the game, especially between koinon from different 'race' poleis.
